Glutathione and Cancer

Doctor Mehmet C Oz told his studio audience that they may be worried for the wrong reasons on Thursday’s show.
There are some myths concerning cancer and he wanted to set the record straight.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death. He said that the
doctors aren’t telling the lies, but we are “telling each other’.

Big Lie #1: You Don’t Have Cancer

“We all have microscopic cancers growing inside of us all of the time,”
Dr William Li, MD, a cancer researcher and pioneer, told Oz.
There are 50 trillion cells in our body and all it takes is one cell to mutate.

Our immune system fights these cells every day. Also, our body naturally
prevents blood vessels from growing into and feeding cancers.

We can eat the right foods and avoid the wrong foods. Don’t get too much sun,
avoid cigarette smoke and use sun screen. Also avoid processed meats, sleep right and exercise.

Big Lie #2: You Can’t Catch Cancer

Is cancer contagious?

“There are certain bacteria and viruses that can cause cancer,”
Ilana Cass, MD told Oz. Cass is an oncologist at the Samuel Oschin
Cancer Institute at Cedars Sinai. These viruses and bacteria are contagious.

H. Pylori can cause stomach cancer and affects 30 to 40 percent of Americans.
This can be treated with antibiotics.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) can cause cervical cancer.
About 20 million Americans have been exposed to HPV and about
five percent of all cancers are associated with it.

Hepatitis B can cause liver damage and liver cancer.
This and HPV are viruses and vaccinations are available.

Big Lie #3: The Only Place to Check for Breast Cancer is Your Breast

Women and doctors should check the breast and lymph nodes.
Oz said to check for lumps at the same “time” every month – like on the 1st.

Dara Richardson-Heron , MD from the Susan G Komen of Greater New York Foundation,
said to check from the clavicle and axillary areas. Inflammatory cancer
does not create a lump but dimples the skin like an orange peal.

Big Lie #4: You Can Only Get Female Cancers from your Mother

Breast, uterus and ovarian cancer can be inherited from both your mom and dad.
Just because you inherit the defective gene doesn’t mean you will always get the cancer,
according to Dr. Cass.
Secret Weapons against Cancer

“Your genes load the gun but your environment pulls the trigger” Oz said.
Lifestyle changes can reduce the risk of developing cancer.

Dr Li said eating Gouda Cheese can reduce the risk of cancer. These cheeses contain
vitamin K2 which inhibits cancer. All you need is two slices of “hard” cheese a
day to reduce lung and prostate cancer risk. Vitamin K2 also protects the
heart from hardening of the arteries.

Dr Cass said to exercise three times per week for 30 minutes to elevate the heart rate.
She said 45 minutes five days a week is better. Keep the weight down, Oz recommended.

Dr Richardson said that we need to limit our intake of pan-fired and grilled meats.
This includes pork, chicken and even fish. Frying the meat breaks down the muscle
and the charred black areas are the worse. She recommended marinating the meat first.
You can put foil on the grill to prevent charring the meat.

Steaming, broiling and even sautéing are acceptable alternatives. And if we grill something,
grill vegetables and fruits.
Most Power Antioxidant - Glutathione

David Katz, MD, Director of the Yale Prevention Research Center,
said glutathione is the most power antioxidant.
The body manufactures this to defend us against toxins.

If you have a chronic disease like diabetes or cancer, you might not have
enough of this antioxidant. Even if you are just “run-down”
you may not have enough, according to Katz.

We can naturally increase our glutathione by eating broccoli, cauliflower, garlic and onions.
These are sulfur rich vegetables. Selenium rich foods can also help build the substance.
Oats, black beans, Brazil nuts and tuna help us manufacture glutathione.

Vitamin B6 and Milk Thistle supplements can help us create glutathione.
Katz said Milk thistle can help liver function. This protects and helps the liver produce it.

Exercise can boost glutathione levels. It helps filter the toxins out of the body too.

Radiation and Glutathione

Radiation exposure and glutathione

Exposure to nuclear radiation from a nuclear fallout due to a
nuclear plant meltdown could be deadly.
For those that don't die, the long-term effects of nuclear radiation
exposure often leads to cancer, especially thyroid cancer!
(this is why you MUST detox from radiation exposure)
Radiation exposure creates an abundance of free radicals
that create many problems for the body. This overabundance
of free radicals also leads to greatly depleted glutathione levels!

Even a little exposure to nuclear radiation can lead to lowered
immune system, and an abundance of free radicals,
including the most dangerous free radical of all: the hydroxyl radical.

The first symptoms of radiation poisoning can include nausea, vomiting,
diarrhoea and rashes. They can appear within MINUTES or
days of exposure. The symptoms could then lead to fatigue,
hair loss, appetite loss, fever, and gastrointestinal problems
which can last for hours, days, and months!
If the nuclear radiation IS NOT detoxified from the body it may
lead to cancer or shorter lifespan!

To protect yourself from a nuclear radiation you must get as
much distance from you and the nuclear fallout as possible.
If evacuation is not possible, you must remain indoors and
seal all windows and keep your AC off.
Limit your time outdoors to zero if possible.

Increase your glutathione IMMEDIATELY!

Glutathione protects your body by immediately going to work
neutralizing free radicals created during unhealthy radiation exposure.
In fact, glutathione is the ONLY antioxidant that can neutralize the
hydroxyl radical created in human body from too much
radiation exposure!
The hydroxyl radical also know as the Hydroxyradical
is the most dangerous free radical of all.
It can damage virtually all types of our macromolecules, including:
carbohydrates, nucleic acids (causing mutations), lipids
(causing lipid peroxidation) and amino acids.

Glutathione, the master and most powerful antioxidant,
is the ONLY antioxidant that can neutralize the hydroxyradical!
Glutathione also rapidly detoxifies the body from
radiation exposure by rebuilding your DNA and
repairing cells damaged from radiation exposure.
Glutathione also works with the immune system and
removes heavy metals, like radioactive iodine 131
(the most common radioactive element given off in nuclear disasters.)
By keeping your glutathione (master antioxidant) levels high
you protect your DNA and your cells from damage!
The most effective glutathione accelerating supplement is MaxGXL!
Another important way to protect yourself from radiation exposure
is through iodine supplementation!
Radioactive iodine is present during nuclear meltdowns, if you are
deficient in iodine your body will absorb the radioactive iodine.
(glutathione will also greatly help you to detoxify the radioactive iodine).

We live with radiation from microwaves from mobile phones,
cell phone towers, microwave ovens and X-rays.
They too create free radicals in our body.

Glutathione…as essential for life as oxygen, and yet few people know what it is.

We want you to understand why glutathione is
vital to your health and longevity

and how Max One and Maxgxl increase your levels of Glutathione.

So, what is glutathione?

It is the major cell protector and the master
antioxidant in the body. Antioxidants protect the
cells in our bodies from oxidation and oxidative stress,
and that’s a good thing — oxidative stress has
been associated with more than 74 major
diseases and disorders.

Glutathione is a protein produced naturally in our
cells if the required building blocks are available.
As the most important antioxidant, glutathione:

* Is present in every cell in the body.
* Functions as an antitoxin and is a major
defence system against illness and aging.
* Strengthens the immune system
* Fights intracellular inflammation
* Supports increased exercise
* Slows the aging process

The production of glutathione in our bodies slows as
we age, leaving us vulnerable to oxidative stress,
caused by environmental pollutants, diet, stress,
and even exercise. Pub Med, maintained by the
U.S. National Library of Medicine, has more than
91,000 articles on glutathione substantiating
its health benefits (in contrast, there are around
40,000 articles on vitamin C). And yet doctors and
scientists around the world have been unable to
find a way to effectively deliver glutathione
to the cells until recently.
MaxGXL® and Max One are exclusive, breakthrough products
that provid the body with nutrients that increase your
glutathione production

Study: Anti-aging Supplements Most Beneficial When Taken Earlier In Life
June 4, 2010 by Personal Liberty News Desk
Results of a new University of Florida College of Medicine
study suggest anti-aging supplements are most effective when
taken before the onset of old age.

Using an animal model, lead author Christiaan Leeuwenburgh
and his colleagues tested a mixture of anti-aging supplements
on a group of middle-aged and late-aged subjects. The supplements
contained antioxidant coenzyme Q10, creatine and ginseng.

After six weeks, the younger subjects—whose age corresponded to
50-year-old to 65-year-old humans—improved their grip strength
by 12 percent and their neurological function by 66 percent compared
to a cohort of control group participants.

In contrast, older subjects—whose age was comparable to 65-year-old
to 80-year-old men and women—experienced no statistically relevant
improvement in physical or cognitive function.
"It is possible that there is a window during which these compounds
will work, and if the intervention is given after that time it won’t work,"
said researcher Jinze Xu.
However, older subjects who were given the supplements did lower their
levels of oxidative stress and improve their energy levels.

Glutathione - Most important Antioxidant

"I can tell you without equivocation that glutathione is the most important endogenous antioxidant there is. It is manufactured by the body and is the only antioxidant that can recycle itself."

Such is the judgment of a highly regarded and credentialed scientist who served for 32 years as a senior editor for the prestigious, international Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, and one year as Acting Editor-in-Chief. He didn’t reach this conclusion after a cursory study of glutathione, but only after dedicating 25 years to study this most important of all cell protectors.

He was Adjunct Professor, Center for Drug Design, and Professor Emeritus, Medicinal Chemistry and Toxicology, both at the University of Minnesota. He served as a Senior Scientist for the Veterans Administration.

In addition to his service to Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, he served on the editorial board of the journal Bioconjugate Chemistry for eight years, and as an ad hoc grant reviewer for the NCI and NIAAA, National Institutes of Health. He has published more than 165 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and is the inventor named on ten U.S. and PCT patent applications. He has spent 40 years in research labs at both the University of Minnesota and the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.

We are, of course, referring to Herbert Nagasawa, Ph.D.
